Today, with the impact of globalization, economic borders are disappearing; as a result of this, economics and finance are gaining more and more importance in social and intellectual life as two complementary fields. Moreover, in order to integrate economically with the globalized world, it is mandatory to bridge the gap between academia and the business world and to acquire and produce knowledge which will increase economic power.

According to this need, both MA programs in Economics (with/without thesis) aim at:

  • training experts who have academic knowledge and vision to work in international organizations, such as multicultural companies, global finance institutions, IMF, the World Bank, OECD, Islamic Development Bank, etc.
  • training professionals who will work at different administrative and research branches of the banks in Turkey, in the administration or accounting and finance units of the private sector, as well as in national and international advisory companies
  • deepening the expertise and academic knowledge of those who already work at one of these institutions
  • training academics who will carry out qualified research in the fields of economics and finance to address national and global problems.
