Letter from the Rector

Dear Prospective Students, Our Hope and Future,

You are about to make one of the most important decisions in your life. Our task as university administrators is to provide you with information so you can make a good decision for your future.

First of all, I would like to emphasize that thanks to the strong academic staff and qualified education given by Istanbul 29 Mayıs University, there is an increasing demand for all programs in our university every year; details of these programs can be found in the university prospectus or on the university website.

Istanbul 29 Mayıs University gives special support to those students who have academic desires and achievements, and is committed to training graduates so they are equipped in both theory and practice in their subject areas. The students registered at Istanbul 29 Mayıs University are able to benefit from the guidance and expertise of the university's distinguished academic staff as well as from specific programs designed to educate and train students in different disciplines.

Moreover, our students live in a scholarly atmosphere in which ethical values and scholarly concerns are paramount. They take advantage of sharing the same environment with outstanding scholars and intellectuals who gather at the Centre for Islamic Studies (ISAM), one of the world-leading institutions in Social and Religious, particularly Islamic Studies.

The center’s library, which holds over 400,000 books, offers a great opportunity to our academic staff and students. Within a short period of time, the university's central library has also managed to collect over 80,000 books together with unique and valuable collections. This demonstrates the way in which the university is determined to offer competitive and creative academic facilities.

If there is a course program in the field that you want to study at Istanbul 29 Mayıs University, I would strongly recommend you visit the university campus and become acquainted with the university firsthand, gathering information from our academic and administrative staff, and meeting some of our current students. If this is not possible, you can browse our e-prospectus on the university website, where you will find a great deal of information about the courses and programs taught at the university.

We firmly believe that our institutional structure, the foundation stone of which has been established by our first graduates (2013/14), will be strengthened with new students. We therefore would be very pleased to see you to join us in 2017 to realize your goals and dreams.
